Portrait Painting

The painted portraits below are completed using the alla prima direct method, Italian for "at once", which simply means the painting is completed in one sitting. I work from live models in my studio to complete these portrait paintings or paint live at events and find so much joy as well as the challenge completing these portraits. Sizes below range 16''x20-24’’x 30''. Enjoy!
